FLIPZY™
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
1. Who we are
FLIPZY is operated by Agera Innovations Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
Agera Innovations Ltd
Company number: 16994295
Registered office: 2 Faircroft Court, Wrexham, LL13 8JE, United Kingdom

For the purposes of applicable data protection law, Agera Innovations Ltd is the controller of personal data processed through the FLIPZY app and related FLIPZY services.
2. Our privacy approach
FLIPZY is designed to collect as little data as possible.
The current version of the FLIPZY app does not require users to create an account, profile or login. We do not ask for a name, email address, date of birth, phone number or advertising identifier in order to use the app.
The current version of the FLIPZY app does not send any information to us. Practice recordings, practice results and activation codes are stored on the user's device.
We do not use third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics services such as Firebase Analytics or Sentry.
The app is designed for a mixed audience, including children aged 10+ and adults. We therefore use privacy-protective defaults and minimise collection for all users.
3. Camera and practice recordings
The FLIPZY app uses the front camera of the device to record practice attempts, so that the user can watch an attempt back in slow motion and count their flips.
The camera is used only on the practice screen, while the user sets up the phone and records a practice attempt, and when the user chooses to scan the QR code that comes with FLIPZY (rear camera). The QR image is read on the device and is not saved; only the code is kept.
Recordings do not include sound. The app does not use the microphone.
Recordings are stored only on the user's device, in the app's own storage. They are not saved to the device's photo library.
Recordings are never uploaded or sent to us or to anyone else. They are excluded from iCloud and Android device backups.
The app keeps only the 10 most recent recordings and automatically deletes recordings that are more than 14 days old. The recording of the user's personal best is kept until that personal best is beaten. The user can delete any recording in the app at any time.
Camera content is not used for advertising, profiling or identity recognition.
Flips are counted by the user, who taps the screen for each flip while watching the recording. Practice results — the date and number of flips for each practice, the times of the flip marks and the personal best — are also stored on the device. Unlike recordings, practice results and the activation code can be included in the user's own iCloud or Android device backup, so that they are not lost when the user changes phone.
4. Activation codes
A FLIPZY activation code may be scanned or entered in the app to activate the user's FLIPZY. The code is saved only on the user's device.
The activation code is not used to create a user profile and is not linked by us to a name, email address, advertising ID, device ID or user account.
Where activation information is stored on the device, it is used only for FLIPZY functionality.
An activation code may also be scanned or entered through the FLIPZY website (flipzytoy.com). The activation-code page stores the code in the user's browser on the same device using local storage so that it can be used later. The code is not transmitted to our servers. The FLIPZY website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking technologies.
5. Information sent from the app
The current version of the FLIPZY app does not send practice recordings, practice results, activation codes or any other information from the device to us or to any third party.
If a future version of the app sends any information, we will update this Privacy Policy before that version is released and describe what is sent and why.
6. IP addresses and network data
The current version of the FLIPZY app does not connect to our servers or to any other online service in order to work.
When the FLIPZY website is opened — for example from a QR code or from a link in the app — the website is delivered through Cloudflare, and an IP address must be processed temporarily so that the request reaches the website and a response is returned.
We do not intentionally retain IP access logs within the parts of the system that we technically control.
Cloudflare, as a network and infrastructure provider, may process IP addresses and other network information in accordance with its own terms, security requirements and privacy practices. We cannot state that an IP address is never processed anywhere on the internet infrastructure outside our direct technical control.
7. How information is used
Practice recordings and results are used only on the user's device: to let the user watch their practice, mark and count flips, and follow their progress.
We do not receive recordings or results, and we do not use them for advertising, behavioural profiling, marketing targeting or sale of data.
8. Legal basis
The current version of the FLIPZY app does not send personal data to us. Practice recordings, practice results and activation codes are created and stored only on the user's device and are not received by us.
Where applicable data protection law treats technical information processed when the FLIPZY website is opened (such as an IP address, see section 6) as personal data, we process the minimum information necessary for the legitimate interests of operating and securing the FLIPZY website.
9. Children and younger users
FLIPZY is intended for a mixed audience, including children aged 10+.
We have designed the app to minimise collection from all users, including children.
The current version does not require a child to provide a name, email address, date of birth, telephone number, precise location or account profile.
The current version does not send recordings, results or any other information from the app to us.
Parents and guardians can delete recordings in the app at any time. Deleting the app removes its recordings and practice results from the device.
We do not use personal data from children for targeted advertising or behavioural profiling.
10. Storage and retention
Practice recordings are kept only on the user's device. The app keeps only the 10 most recent recordings and deletes recordings that are more than 14 days old, except the recording of the current personal best, which is kept until that personal best is beaten. The user can delete a recording earlier at any time.
Practice results — the dates and flip counts in the practice table, and the personal best — stay on the device until the app is deleted. If the user has device backups turned on, results and the activation code are also kept in that backup, which is controlled by the user and by Apple or Google.
We do not keep copies of recordings or results.
11. Service providers
We may use carefully selected service providers to operate the technical infrastructure required for FLIPZY. These may include:
- Cloudflare, for the FLIPZY website and network infrastructure;
- Apple, for distribution of the iOS app and platform-level services;
- Google, for distribution of the Android app and platform-level services; and
- technical development or hosting providers acting on our instructions.
These providers may process limited technical information as necessary to provide their services and are subject to their own contractual, security and privacy obligations.
We do not provide FLIPZY data to advertising networks or data brokers.
12. Crash and platform reports
We do not integrate third-party behavioural analytics or third-party crash-reporting SDKs into the current FLIPZY app.
Apple or Google may make standard crash, installation or performance information available to developers through their platform services, depending on the user's device and platform settings. Any such information is also subject to the relevant Apple or Google privacy terms.
13. International processing
Some technical service providers operate infrastructure in more than one country.
Where personal data is transferred internationally and data protection law requires safeguards, we rely on the safeguards and contractual mechanisms provided by the relevant service provider and applicable law.
14. Your rights
Depending on where you live and whether information processed by FLIPZY constitutes personal data relating to you, you may have rights including:
- the right to request access to personal data;
- correction of inaccurate data;
- deletion in certain circumstances;
- restriction of processing;
- objection to certain processing; and
- the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Practice recordings and results are stored on the user's device (results also in the user's own device backup, if it is turned on) and are not received by us, so we cannot access, correct or delete them. The user can delete recordings in the app, and all of the app's data on the device by deleting the app.
UK users may also raise concerns with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
15. Deleting recordings and results
Recordings can be deleted at any time in the app, one practice at a time or all at once. Deleting the app removes its recordings and practice results from the device.
16. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the FLIPZY app, its features, data flows or legal requirements change.
When we make a material change, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app or through the FLIPZY website.
